Sounds like you just haven’t met a level-headed scholar yet and it isn’t surprising considering you live in Pakistan, they must be scarce in a society that’s so torn apart because of a bazillion issues. Hanson, being an American himself, has also condemned the US foreign policies but he also believes that the US way of living is more close to the Muslim way, there’s less corruption, less injustice etc and this is something I agree wholeheartedly with despite not being a fan of America’s role in world politics. Also, Hanson is not only well-travelled but well aware of other cultures too having lived, studied and taught in the Middle East and Africa for many years. He’d definitely know a thing or two about the problems you face in Pakistan.
Maybe. Hope I meet one who can convince me or at least get me interested. Because right now, I just zone out whenever someone talks about religion. I’m not even concerned about it like nadz. That’s got to be dangerous.
