1: There’s nothing wrong in saying sex. No need to censor the word. -_- Khul k bolo!
2: For you, sex may be some horrendous word that needs to be censored but for me it isn’t… In the same way, those offensive posts you speak of are actually not offensive at all to the majority of grown-ups here. If there were 20 indecent replies in a sex related thread, you’d think mods would take notice, right? Forget 20, even if there was 1 explicit/vulgar post in a thread, you bet it’ll be gone in minutes and the poster would get warning points. GS does allow adult topics to a certain extent and if they offend you just don’t read them. If the threads are merely “chaska” threads where a number of immature posters are trolling around, again mods would take notice. You may remember the sticky Niksik put up on Life1 regaring sex related threads not too long ago: post #2 in this thread I think http://www.paklinks.com/gs/life-and-relationships/473247-life1-policies-please-read.html … so just like mods aren’t going around editing the word sex just because you think it’s bad, they also aren’t going to remove the threads just because you think they’re chaska threads. When something is that obviously vulgar/trollish, mods will take action even before someone reports it.
3: It is because of this haya you speak of that people don’t discuss these issues with a friend/relative in real life… some people are even too shy to open up with their doctors… that is why they take advantage of the anonymity veil on the world wide web and ask whatever they need to ask… agar online bhi discuss nahin kar sakte tau or kya apni family k sath baith kar discuss karein k what’s the best sex position to conceive?! Google search results bhi to real logon ki posts show karte hain, right? It searches for stuff that is posted by real people like you and me on forums like GS. I could use another website to ask questions but would I feel as comfortable as I do on GS? Would I be able to trust people’s advice as much as I could trust the community here on GS? Probably not. On the contrary, some other GSer may feel more comfortable speaking to complete strangers on another website instead of sharing his/her personal problems on GS where he/she is well known. Sanu ki?

^That would depend upon the content of the virginity threads. It's not to black and white that one should go around wagging a disapproving finger at every single thread that is about virginity, sex, etc. One might already be well-informed on a topic, but reading about it and people's different views can provide food for thought.

The place looks trashed with people discussing the same topic again and again in different forms. That's all I'm saying. I'm not against your or anyone else's sex or virginity threads. And same goes for saas bahu threads too.

Like Pakistani plays or the nation itself, we have two extremes at guphup: either uber religious types who just want to shoot down everything with their tauba tauba or I-just-cant-wait-to-get-laid types with their not so subtle horniness.
The small sensible minority (ahem...like myself :D) just try to go with the flow in their own way.
Oh, btw there is another kind: the super lame, trollish that thinks everything revolves around them and their cliched one-liners lifted from various internet forums without even tweaking them for desi tastes...case in point....sammiches....yeah right! as if those light cold sammiches are going to satisfy their biryani loving bellies.
