There was a civil setup in place as well, and PML-Q leaders were a part of the decision....or at least, were there as his yes-men That said, I dont know why he is defensive about it. Lal masjid was not full of lal paris. And it has already been established by an investigation that Ghazi's mother did not die from the operation.

although he may have ordered the attack, he can NOT be tried for killing the 'innocent' because he was ill-advised. so, the blame lies elsewhere, the bunch of presidential advisers!

How did his mother die?
Of old age. She was in a hospital before the siege, and died there. Her body was transported to lal masjid for burial. No autopsy was allowed, (or for that matter, no body was ever seen) which could have proven Ghazi's assertion that she died of gunshots.

Musharraf tried his best to get Pakistan rid of Benazir and Nawaz. He failed. People rejoiced at his failure. Now after trying both PPP and Nawaz reign, everyone is witnessing new hopes for the country's future.
Since Musharraf went away we have been going down the drain. Obviously this is what we wanted. The hell with development. We are content with PPP and PMLN.
As MQMers have this ridiculous slogan: "humein manzil nahin, rehnuma chahiye". While everyone despises MQM, the whole country actually follows the same slogan.
