Re: I Did a Glycolic Acid Peel Last Night and now...HELP!!!
Is this something anyone can do? meaning can it ever be too soon/early to use? im 20 yo
Depends....does you skin have a "need" for it right now? What are you hoping to "fix" by doing these peels?
At 20.....if you don't have acne, hyperpigmentation, un-even/dull skin etc....then I personally wouldn't do it. I'd just use a over-the-counter glycolic cream.
Re: I Did a Glycolic Acid Peel Last Night and now...HELP!!!
^ Basically, yes.
Let's say you apply the acid on your face and leave it on for a certain amount of time (the time depends on the type of acid used). After that time has passed, you apply another layer of the acid, WITHOUT neutralizing the 1st layer. So that will be the 2nd layer. Depending on what your skin can handle, you can do multiple layers this way.

^ Hi!
Retin A and Glycolic peel (or glycolic cream if you're comfortable doing the peels).
Please do a search on this board for "chemical peel" and "Retin A". Tons of information should pop up. Once you've read the information, if you have any questions, please free free to ask. :)

Thanks:), but what is the benefit of doing it in layers instead of doing in one layer? Will the skin peel quickly?

what is the benefit of doing it in layers instead of doing in one layer?
Let's say you bought 40% glycolic (or lactic or whatever) peel. After doing 1 or 2 or 3 peels....you see that your skin handles it very well, and you feel that you want to move it up to the "next level". Well, you can purchase a higher % but what will you do with the 40% that's left? In a situation like this, instead of spending money to buy a higher %, layering is another way to make that 40% stronger.
Re: I Did a Glycolic Acid Peel Last Night and now...HELP!!!
I started with lactic acid peels (55%) and have done 2.
First one I did about a month ago, followed directions to the T and kept it on for 7 minutes. I ended up with a few small abrasions on the cheeks and sides of my face. I applied RHO liberally and everything was fine in about 4-5 days.
Second peel I did this past weekend, followed directions to the T and put a timer on, and neutralized with baking soda (which I didn't do last time) and washed face with just water. Applied some RHO afterwards, and alhamdulilah no issues, just smooth skin, and a healthy glow!

@ paheli
Can you recommend any good cream with kojic acid?
I don't know that much about kojic acid products. I did a search on Amazon and Cape Fear Naturals 4% Kojic Acid cream seems to be a good one. But you can also do a search. There are tons out there. Go with something that has good reviews. :)
What strength of a glycolic peel should be used to get rid of pockmarks?
By pockmarks do you mean pitted/indented scars? Unfortunately, glycolic will not get rid of those. Those can only be dealt with very high % of TCA and you must see a dermatologist for that. Sorry!
