paheli- ive tried the lactic 50percent too now, once, for 10mins, was fine. shall i try the glycolic now....at what percentage.....my use is for the hyperpig of acne marks left over...whats the best peel for that......

hey guys! thanks for all your help...i was freaking out so badly! but my skin is starting to look better...it's still brown scab's but theyre starting to fall off, im putting on so much moisturizer and this helps soo much thanks paheli!
Also...omg the aloe vera gel helped sooo much! i totally recommend everyone to put it on after doing a glycolic acid peel...it really helps with the redness and calms the skin down!

At night....you also put on the sunblock on your face to moisturize it? You don't use any separate actual moisturizer/cream or oil?

at night, i use the meladerm, which also moisturises....
but no i dnt use any other moisturer,.,

^ ok, if you're going to be doing peels....you need an actual heavy duty moisturizer. The "moisturizing" properties in sunscreen's or other creams that contain acid's aren't enough. That's why you're experiencing the dryness/itchiness. That's your skin telling you that you're using too much acid.

If you can't get any types of oil (argan, rosehip, almond etc.).......then you can use things like vaseline, or even cetaphil moissturing cream. Just pick something that's heavy and use that after peels. Also, please stop using the meladerm 2 days before and 2 days after the peel. Give your skin a breather from the lactic acid and just use the moisturizer for those 5 days. Too much acid on the skin is not a good thing.

OMG the same thing happens to me today. Did 50% glycolic peel this morning left for about 7 mins. Normally do 40% do about 4 mins. And now have brown patches on my face and neck. Boooo! An my face stings Sooo bad. I used factor 50 sunscreen today. Also I've been using teretonin cream so probs why my skin is more sensitive. Hope there's no lasting damage. I'm going to go grab the aloe Vera....

Yeah it's completely healed :) about 5 days and I had lovely new fresh looking skin. It was Sooo hard not to pick the scabs though :-/ I used a rich moustoriser aloe Vera and loads of sun block. Also on day 1/2 I used avene thermal water spray. Cause my face was really stinging and that did really help cool it down.
