Not that i can possibly understand what went through his mind while he was a witness to this scene, but, i don't understand... why did he leave? Maybe that's what most of us would have done in his place - i honestly don't know.
The picture is heartbreaking. i hope wherever that little boy is (most likely he never survived beyond that day), his soul's at peace now Insha'Allah.

The picture has rattled me. After witnessing the picture even this response spouts the odor of hypocrisy. Today's civilization consists of mostly arrogant, selfish people with no heart for humanity.
Contrary to popular belief, it's a proven fact that famine never occurs naturally but happens due to the unbalanced distribution of resources caused by selfish, criminal people. For example, the Sudan famine or the Irland potato famine or the Ukrain famine. However, some might say if famine in Thar (Sindh) is not naturally caused due to lack of rain, then what caused it? True, rain has drastic effects on harvest but I am ready to challenge anyone who says there wasn't enough food in Pakistan or other parts of the world that could have relieved at least the food problem of Thar. What did the government do for Thar famine? Nothing. Did any other country offered any help? No, although there was plenty of food to go around from all over the world. Hence, the unbalanced distribution of resources. And if you look up the word famine in dictionary it means "extreme scarcity of food" and not lack of rain or anything. Yes, lack of rain has effect on having less food in the affected area but it doesn't mean that people there have to starve to death because there's engouh food in other places that could easily help affected people.
This is not my theory. It's a proven scientific fact and if someone wants to verify it, he/she can research it. And I'm not sure (I could be wrong) but there's also a Hadeeth concerning how famine is caused by people. But I'm not sure about the Hadeeth so I'm not claiming there's such a Hadeeth (Wallah Alam).
