whats wrong with this picture you ask !! well look at the news section on the left hand side where the news are.. for GOD knows how long and when the script started failing acquiring the news from ‘The Nation’ newspaper.. i humbly ask one of the admins to either fix it or take the whole icon out of there so it doesnt look like that this site is not well maintained.. and i expect my appreciation check for ‘pointing out an important issue’ by tomorrow on my desk..
since v r on the issue here is another screen i got after uploading a pictureeee !!! black colored image url text on black background ??? who is designing all these pages ??? or there is something messed up with my browser !!!
well, the page comes out black for you because thats what your windows background color is set to… and internet explorer uses that when it renders pages which do not have the < body bgcolor= > tag…
to change it, either change ur window background color from display properties..
Or in IE, go to Tools → Internet Options → Colors.. and uncheck use windows colors.. and change the background color to white.. see if that works..
yes, we are aware of our shortcomings .. and believe us, we are working on some issues .. We are focusing more on the next gen release of our entire network ... sometimes in August 2001. It takes time and effort to fix the current loops.. Trust me, I cannot even pare 5 minutes in the interest of the upcoming release ... please live with it for a little while longer.. :)

ps: and we are aware of all the best products for this forum. vbulletin has features and stuff but we are not ready for it. This forum has about 31 major customizations some cannot be included in VB. We have not found any performance boosts going with VB.
Azkar, I humbly disagree with you on that vB does not have better performance then UBB. I can speak from some experiance with both UBB and vB and I have found vB to be much more efficient. Unlike perl scripts of UBB, vB uses php. A much faster and bug-free alternative IMHO. I understand that importing 31 hacks into vB might be a considerable challenge, but I stand by my assertion that vB is faster then UBB. Also it has more features, that may cut down the need for so many hacks.
