I cant hear you when I am listening…
I found myself saying this to a patient of mine, when I was listening to his heart and he was talking to me…
This might have been appropriate in that particular situation but i noticed myself doing it so often in so many others too..
Sometimes we focus too much on our needs with ppl…forgetting that Its a whole individual we are dealing with , more then what we are reducing them to…with interests/concerns/needs very different then ours…
Any thoughts…
hmm, are you saying we hear what we want to hear from others, and that we mostly look at what we want/need from others as opposed to what they may want/need? :)
