Yes, Retin A is a cream (also comes in gel form) that used to treat acne. It is also been proven to diminish fine lines/wrinkles and help prevent them. It works on the skin by increasing cell turnover. Over time this also help even out skin tone.
In the U.S., this is available by prescription only and tends to be expensive. I buy mine from AllDayChemist.com. They’re located in India…super cheap (compared to U.S. prices), and no prescription is required.
** Note: Just like chemical peels, Retin A also makes you skin super-sensitive to the sun. So sun screen usage diligently is a MUST if you’re going to be using this. Also, people tend to underestimate how strong this stuff is. It always best to start at the lowest % (.025%) and slowly allow your skin to get used to it. Otherwise the skin will get irritated (that doesn’t look pretty while its healing). And also, this should NOT be used by pregnant women.
