well this is an offshoot from the thank you thread…I wanna know how you guys show your remorse
honestly I’m a perpetual apologizer (i know thats not a word …I just made it up fyne ) in fact in my family im known as “sorry baji” (instead of llxxll baji) only because when I feel ive done something wrong i feel so guilty that I will apologize frequently and using various methods…apart from verbal apologies, I will leave them a sticky note on their mirror, i will write them a heartfelt email… and if it’s someone i love I may even get them a rose or something
if its my mom my mother ill grab her feet and refuse to get up from her feet until she forgives me (also i dont pray until she forgives me …i always tell her no use in me praying god isnt going to accept my namaaz until you forgive me)
I have already said unless I have some ulterior motive , yeh sir kut sakta hay magar jhuk nahi sakta. I make sure that I do not do do any thing or say anything which will make me apologize to anybody other than Allah(SWT). I aplogize to Allah(SWT) all the time for my intentional and unintentional mistakes. Although I believe that Allah(SWT) will not hole me accountable for my unintentional mistakes,still.
If someone gets mad at me for some misunderstanding I will make sure that the misunderstanding is clarified but I will not apologize.
I apologize for being sarcastic or for fun all the time.
My older son never saw me apologizing to anybody so he did not learn to apologize even for his mistakes. It took me some time to teach him to apologize for his mistakes.
if i do something wrong, i genuinely feel sorry for it and i ask for forgiveness and try to correct the harm that was caused as a result...BUT, sometimes, i feel so GUILTY that i can NOT face that person so i stay away from him/her...i DO feel guilty all the time because i know i was wrong!
lwlwlwlw you’re so adorable. Ya I’m a major sorry-er. I can’t stop saying it when I know I have done something wrong, it just keep on coming out . And my way to making the other person happy is to make them something home-cooked and something I know is their favorite.
With family its just hugs and kisses and bugging them a lil more so that they start talking to me.
But with friends its mostly texts or calls until i get a, fine fine i forgive you.. jaan choro ab!
The most effort I made to say sorry was to a friend for whom I got flowers, went down to her place, stood outside her bedroom door for about half an hour.. then finally when she opened the door, I apologized while crying (I know) and then we hugged like long lost sisters. All is well that ends well.
An ideal apology - admit your mistake to the offended person, acknowledge the hurt it caused, do not provide any justification for what you did, express your sincere remorse, reassure the person you will not repeat this, and ask for forgiveness (while making it clear that forgiveness needs to be earned through future positive behavior), and give the other person an opportunity to vent (if they choose to), and give them sufficient time to finaly come around. And stay humble throughout the process.

I apologize sometimes even when i am not guilty. I don’t want the situation to be more worse so to make things a little better i say sorry and try to avoid more argumentation.
admit your mistake and just say sorry! simle as that! ... i usually do say sorry after like few hrs of an argument or whtever tht is!
I just feel guilty! ... I usually just say it straight to the persons face, or if im too shy ill just extend my hand ... and be like im sorry! i know i was a bit too rude , can we be friends again.. or the last thing if i dont have the courage to say sorry, i write notes! :)
i can't stay angry very long i apologize quickly and shed a few tears sometimes (i'am a very emotional person). I don't like apologizing if i wasn't at fault but sometimes i still do considering the other persons point of view.. with my mom i just keep calling her even after i have apologized and she has forgiven me i call like ten times until she assures me she's no longer mad at me, we giggle and that's the end of that.
