Re: :::~~~i Am Very Sad~~~:::::::::
Hi all
Thanks for all your comments, nice and well not so nice.
In any case I should tell you that, my dog "cali" is no more. (She was run over,)
I really appreciate your concerns and
Hope that none of you ever lose
Something you love, that loves you back unconditionally.
It will take sometime for me to adjust to her not being with me. It is very hard, as i still have her food & water bowl next to her bed.
But as they say life goes on and I will try to overcome this.
Thank you all

Re: :::~i Am Very Sad~:::::::::
hey danial i’m really sorry to hear that
all dogs go to heaven, man ![]()
Re: :::~i Am Very Sad~:::::::::
thank you all
Re: :::~i Am Very Sad~:::::::::
I can show you a verse from Quran that … but lets not make it a religious debate ![]()
Never really had a “long term” pet [All I had were baby chix] but I have an idea how you feel. Strangly enf “Unconditional love” can only be attained from a pet (and dog being one of most interactive ones). ![]()
Most people will not understand it since they never had it.
[btw, I am still against having dog as pet :)]
Re: :::~i Am Very Sad~:::::::::
i totally agree^ even if my beliefs tell me not to keep one in my home…i still can sympathize with someone who has lost one. Good luck finding him Danial.
Re: :::~i Am Very Sad~:::::::::
I was gonna post this as well ^…
in addition to the above …if a dog’s saliva gets on you it nullifies your wadu.
Re: :::~i Am Very Sad~:::::::::
Again, only according to hanafi, hanbali and shaif fiqh. Maliki fiqh states that the saliva of a dog is pure.
My understanding is that Imam Malik considered the hadiths on the saliva of dogs to be fabricated, because of Quran 5:4.
"They ask thee what is lawful to them (as food). Say: lawful unto you are (all) things good and pure: and what ye have taught your trained hunting animals (to catch) in the manner directed to you by Allah: eat what they catch for you, but pronounce the name of Allah over it: and fear Allah; for Allah is swift in taking account. "
The hunting animals that the arabs used at the time were dogs; and Imam Malik maintain that this versed proved that food which has been in the mouth of dogs, ie in contact with their saliva is still pure enough for Muslims to eat.
Indeed, according to Maliki fiqh the water left in a container after a dog has drunk from it is still so pure that you can make wadhu with it!!!
Re: :::~i Am Very Sad~:::::::::
it all depends on what school of thought u follow…so lets leave it at that.
although i need to look into this…because i didnt think that that schools of thoughts would have contradictions like this…i always thought that they had only slight variations.
Re: :::~~~i Am Very Sad~~~:::::::::
Thanks for the clarification MS....
Re: :::~~~i Am Very Sad~~~:::::::::
Pure is wrong transliteration, anything can be pure, as in pure $h!t (A mistake commonly made by our esteemed degenerative secularist Pakis)....The word in urdu is Paak....and since there is no concept of paakizgi among the westerners, an equivalent word does not exist....So the dag, yes a dag can pure, as in purely $hitty and filthy....
Re: :::~~~i Am Very Sad~~~:::::::::

Aren't you Hanafi?
Shouldnt you be accepting the Hanafi ruling, especially when its the more correct ruling, and one on which the majority of the scholars have a consensus on?
