4 mile run every other day
do yoga/pilates once a week
do body conditioning exercise twice a week
swim depending on the season, in summer it’s once a week, in winter it’s once a month lolz
I do all these activities after work as my gym is just across the street. So I have salads and some fruits during the day as I take a heavy breakfast (Anda Paratha :P) after working out I go home and rest for an hr or so and eat dinner around 8:30 - 9:00 and then I am so tired that I hit the bed around 10:00 - 10:30
Now I am thinking to workout in the morning to get rid of couple of extra pounds which I have been trying to lose for past 2 years especially from the belly area.
I am thinking to go to the gym early in the morning like around 6:30 AM do what ever I normally do, go to work, keep the lunch regime as it is that I follow then go home after work, have an early dinner around 5:30-6:00 and may be go for a stroll/work around 8:30-9:00
Will it help me reach my goal? Can I still have the heavy breakfast I am use to or should I change my breakfast to something light like a juice/toast and eat something filling after the workout? any other tips for working out in the morning??

?
Biggest issue in your routine is this.
You dont need to cut down on your breakfast, but you definitely need to have at least 3 hours if not more between your dinner and bed time. You dont give a chance for your dinner to burn down. Its sits in your stomach when your body starts sleeping. Start having dinner no later than 7 PM
Re: I am planning to change my workout routine, any tips??
What you need to do is
1)Confuse your body by not pre-planning on your workouts. You have an impressive routine but since you are following it since long, your body is 'used' to it. Revamp your workout routine and try different exercises e.g. instead of running, use the elliptical trainer or try jump rope/skipping. Also change your timings, but dont pre-set it e.g. 2-3 days a week, workout in the morning and then for the rest of week, in the evening
2)To get rid of belly fat, a good diet comprising of vegetables/fruits is essential. If you dont have a paratha/roti for dinner then the breakfast paratha is good otherwise get rid of it and replace it with something else like bran bread.
3)p90x
And yeah, google HIIT. Early morning HIIT cardio (without breakfast) has worked wonders for me
Re: I am planning to change my workout routine, any tips??
Ok my update, so I have changed my routine last Saturday and learnt some lessons:
Never ever eat Anda Paratha before working out
The gym is less crowded in the morning so I can spend as much time as I want to on the machines
Because of the worry of getting late for office your workout is intensified lolz
There are less gay guys and more of the investment banker types in the morning
By 10:00 PM I just want to die
but over all the experience had been good, skipping heavy breakfast is also playing a major part as after working out I eat cereal n fruits to gain the energy. And most of all my evenings are free now so I can complete all my pending tasks otherwise I use to daily rush to the gym after work
