Have you forgotten the nicl case in which moonis illahi was put under bars (he was a punjabi btw) and how the government acted during the whole trial to ensure justice is not done. The sc should do justice especially some other cases like Missing persons, hudaibia paper mills, and even Suo moto action on target killings in balochistan. Maybe the present actions of the sc against this government are directed to ensure that they try to keep some tab on their loot otherwise they will very quickly run the country dry, but even then the government seems to have achieved about 70-80 % of their targets.

Don't forget: whether it is because of army intervention or judiciary intervention: if governments can be held ransom by such means bordering on extortion, Pakistan's problem of near-zero institutional empowerment will continue.
In the current scenario while all three have enough to be ashamed of, the arrogant military and a vigilante judiciary are ganging up on a ineffective legislature.
That is why I referred to Imran who is seen as the different future. He should come out in favor of military backing off by supporting the firing of atleast Pasha (and even Kiyani). That would through public support towards democracy

What you say it makes sense to who so ever really supports democracy. As I already said IK will never a say word against these two gentlemen as he is planted by them. He struggled 16 years that his party be recognized by masses but could not succeed but suddenly all 'lotay' of main political parties are joining him. That is how ISI plays games in Pakistani politics, as military inc. is now major part of political setup in Pakistan.

The establishment is probably backing IK (but that does not mean that I agree that IK's rising popularity is only due to them. It has more to do with the failure of status quo parties to provide good governance)
But why would the military establishment not favour Musharraf's APML instead?

A great hand by ISI, military and CJ in failure or attmpting to fail this government. In another thread, I have posted, the intention of Mush and APML joining IK. It is going to happen. just wait.
