The sentiments of the muslims is for Islam and not western ideas or solutions. There is nothing in the letter which contradicts Islam, so i think it is an excellent letter.

Just because a muslim kills other muslims it does not make them non-muslim unless they deny the Islamic belief. If you look at any country in the world you will find prisons which contain people who commited crimes against their own countrymen and women. What you are trying to do is something which the jews of medina used to do and that is create animosity between muslims by highlighting imaginery differences. We muslims bond on belief and not caste or colour.

My argument is the point made that if same letter were written by a non-muslim...would be not be acceptable. I disagree. The letter makes me sad no matter who wrote it.
