please dint judge my english because it be my second lenguage.
My question that I have engagement to man my parents pick. He is nice but 10 year older and I am 21. I am BA pass first class economics. I want further study but father say no that girls marry important. So this man is son of fathers partner of business. I dont like him and don’t want to marry.
How I can talk to my father and convence him to break engagement. My mother is maid. She doesnt talk or make desisions. Only she keep quiet.
The only way out is to communicate to him your real sentiments. Since you are an obedient daughter and would not have enough courage to stand up to your father. Write a letter to him , telling him how you feel and all the reason behind your feeling and give it to him to read. May Allah help you . Ameen.
can you request your fiance to let you study further ? may be he is a nice guy (I hope so) and he give you permission. Assuming the rishta is good I would not suggest you to refuse a rishta for this reason this can be worked out unless and until he completely forbids you from studying.
Do you have good and frank relationship with your dad? Can you sit with him and ask him whether you can share your fears and apprehensions with him? I am sure he must be willing to listen to you regarding this very important decision of your life. Try to disucss with him in polite manner and tell him why you don't like this rishta. Once he will know that you are not happy with this rishta, he will try to make things easy for you and he will supportive to you.
your mother is maid? hired help? or maid in house as in housewife? i'm sorry if I misread.
You should pray to Allah to make it easy for you. Is there anyone you trust that can speak on your behalf to your dad, do you have grandparents or elder siblings that can speak to your dad for you?
