I think this guy not only is a good bowler but has great attitude to.
Yesterday I was really impressed the way he bowled his heart out. He was unlucky to not get some decisions in his favour. But bowling regularly for almost 1.5 hours before under such hot conditions was not a joke.On top of that he was always smiling and bowling every ball in 90s. Not an easy job. On top of that he can bat well too.
I thinl he will go long way with some grooming. Stats dont always say everything.
One thing which makes me wonder about Sami is that after he gets hit, he would thoughtfully look at the batsman and the ball (as its racing away to the boundary).. and then he will put one finger over his lips as if in a deep planning mode for the next ball. We (the supporters) think, ok, now he has figured out.. the next ball will be a beauty. He will run in and bowl another ullu ki pathi ball, which gets smacked again.
Faisal Bhai its called an ‘Art’ in 2004. Don’t you know!
And plz never disturb him in his thought process. He believes in long term planning. So its not necessary that he will bowl that ‘planned’ delivery next, but its planned for somewhere in the middle of his next spell. I think his ancestors were jews, forward thinking ppl.
You are being too harsh on him Faisal. This thing has happened only once or twice.

I apologize. You are right. This only happens once or twice .... in EACH OVER!!!
Ok j/k... its all in fun. He is a good dude. Khush.

Faisal,
Jokes apart. Sami bowled 13 overs on the trot in the morning and all of them were around 90 miles. This is no joke.Compare this with Over hyped Shoib who has rarely bowled an spell of more than 5 overs.

btw, I just found out from cricinfo that even after playing a fair number of tests, Sami has a bowling average similar to Agarkar.
Does that speak well of Sami..I dont know.
Im also impressed with Sami. I think he bowled his heart out in the absense of Shoaib, althought he didn’t pick up many wickets. But his attitude and body language is definetly good :k:

I knew someone will bring this thing in discussion. That why I had this disclaimer in my first post that stats doesnt alway speak everything.Irfan had an average of 45 before this series. !!!
I like Sami's attitude even though he may not look as starry as Shoaib. He stuck his tongue out at Sehwag, and Sehwag did the same, which provided some comic relief. it was not malicious or anything
Sami is a dedicated cricketer and yes he bowled his heart out yesterday. Things arent working out for him and lets hope he doesnt get dropped and works hard with legends…
Great observation f&b, I thought he bowled really well in the heat and gave everything. He also looked dangerous unlike Fazl the medium pace trundler who somehow found his way into this side.
