In my management career I have been quite lucky to never face a situation like that, because everyone who has been in my team really performed well.

There was one girl though who despite a lot of efforts from HR, myself and my management didn’t really perform up to our expectations. So firing her was already being discussed in the management team. But before we got there, she left the company voluntarily herself. I guess she must have had an idea that she wouldn’t have lasted long. Had she not left, I would have been quite straight-forward with her about it. And I wouldn’t have felt bad about it, because I knew that I tried everything from my end to get her up to speed.

you are right brother I also thought same about straight forward. but when you say so, you cant see in the eyes of such a person. I had to keep my eyes down because to see dyeing of hopes in some one’s eyes require very much courage.
