That is what we are trying to figure out... do guys in real are really serious when in relationships or does this only happen in novels, dramas and movies??? In real life, we do get to know about guys who really want to marry so and so girl... which means they can be serious.. but of course, not many of them become drug addict or decide NOT TO MARRY EVER if they do not get their girl...

Showing emotions is a different thing and having EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT is a different thing... girls become emotionally attached to a guy very soon and can be heartbroken if anything goes wrong in the way... that is why girls are found to be complaining more when they do not get to talk to the guy and when they are unable to meet the guy coz they miss them...
guys take time to become emotionally attached to a girl... I guess only the time will tell how serious a guy is in a relationship... if he is persistent in a relationship despite all the hurdles and is not willing to quit, we can say that he is serious... but then again, only time can tell... whereas for girls, everyone can tell from the beginning that they are truly involved in a guy ;)
So who is smart and careful there? ;)
Actually, research suggests that men are quicker to fall in love than women, that women are more careful. North American research, though.
