I am complete Jahil when it comes to geography/Qibla direction, but...

as a jahil in this matter, one question comes to mind. The earth is spherical, so if I face towards a certain location, my back is also facing towards that same location from the other side. So if I turn around 180 degrees, I will still be facing the same location. For example, some flights to Karachi from US take the Atlantic > Europe > Mideast route, but some take the California > Pacific > South East Asia route. They still get to the same location, but both are pointing opposite directions.

So when you are facing the Qibla, wont you still be facing the qibla if you turned around?
