Yes sir, if your old account is closed it will have impact on your credit score. According to Fair Issac old accounts account for 30% of score !
Now we know why US economy is sinking ![]()
why ![]()
Your cost cutting frenzy sent US economy packing, you deprived so many companies of their profits, thats why
. Your halting of expenses sent “Consumer Confidence Index” spiraling down.

Re: I achieved it
Ma'shallah Firenze, I really applaud your commitment!
I have never been a fan of debt and carry none. I am actually interested in your plans to save those $20K. I am in saving up for a venture that will require a significant liquidity injection, so any tips would be great.
I have a few IRAs, personal trading account, an emergency cash fund (6 months), and a few thousand saved up, but looking to maximize the savings.
My plan is to keep investing in DJIA stocks, because all of them are in historically low and their shares are undervalue.
Select 3-4 companies, mine are : GE, PFE, JPM, MSFT & DIS.
Invest 200$ in each of them every month.
If you believe on America & Capitalism, then guaranteed lavish returns on them in 1-2 years starting from today.
You finances are already in very good position so you can take lil bit risk too. Go for it, wish you best luck !

Nice. Sounds like you have a good plan. I am not so sure about the 1-2 year time frame though. I am thinking about doing a split between stocks and taking a silent partnership in a business. Just want to hedge a little bit ![]()

Re: I achieved it
congratulations!
U know very recently we paid a big amount for our apartment. It felt good. If we keep going on like this we will be morgage free in one year and then save up for a bigger apartment or a city house! :)
Re: I achieved it
Congrats! This is something to be turely proud of!
indirectly, because it changes the ratio of total available credit compared to total credit being used. It would be a bigger issue of there were large balances. also if it is an older card the history of how long you have had credit for and how you have used it can be imapcted.
