Anyone has any stories, any advice they would like to share? I sent in the the whole package last month but forgot to include letters of intent to marry within 90 days of his arrival in the US. I hope me sending them now doesnt hurt the processing time. We are time crunched as it is. Any one know what happens if you send in more documents later in without them asking for it first??
^agreed. The whole approval process is hit or miss. Sometimes things will fall through the cracks, other times even if there is a mistake, they will take forever to get back to you, just a lot of back and forth correspondence. Also depending on what Service Center you mailed the application, it can take a long time or a little time.
Thank you for the responses.
I finally got through to the INS and the lady said i should wait till they ask for the missing documents. If i send tehm in they may or may not get them to the original file. I am sending them anyways. Baqi Allah malik hai.
I was under the impression taht the fiancee visa process was teh easiest one to get your significant other in the US for a US citizen atleast. A relative filed for his wife and it got processsed in 3 months i belive without any difficulties. I guess thats not the experience of the folks here? Scary :(
Just wanted to report back that Alhamdulillah my petition got approved. Still waiting for more instructions in the approval letter on what to do next. :)
Btw, i dont understand why you are picking on me because I belive in Isitikharas? I am sorry if you are offended by me doing so but guess what??its life, get over it!
I have heard finace visa is supposed to be the quickest to get among the similiar categories. You should be fine. Don't worry too much. It's only a matter of time in these sorta visa types nothing more serious so you gotta be bit patient.
The best website that I would or maybe could advise is this one http://www.immigrationportal.com/, it was pretty helpful in my migration days, hope it helps you. It covers almost any Immigration topic and issue.
