Hypothyroidism? Has anyone experienced it? And what about weight loss? I’
ve heard it’s very hard?

I can speak about this but only in canine terms! My yellow lab has a huge appetite and is "morbidly obese" - her weight is 125 and should be about 65 or 70. She was recently very ill and one of the blood test results showed hypothyroidism.
The vet explained to me that its very similar to people. Her body doesnt have the ability to burn off the calories she consumes so its an endless cycle of gaining weight. And even putting her on a strict diet, she will lose weight but not very quickly at all.
Once she regains her strenght from her current sickness, she will start thyroid medication, it will boost her metabolism (Inshallah!) and she will be able to efficiently lose weight while dieting.

Well it's hard yea, but not impossible. It helps if you are taking thyroid medication with diet/exercise.

Once you are on the medication...your thyroid levels should even out and your metabolism should be normal ......then with diet/exercise weight loss is very probable....... its going to be hard but just like any other person trying to lose weight.........definitely not impossible
