What if Saddam does gas his own people…would we somehow be responsible? Sinse we are attacking?

My prayers are with the innocent as well ... That jerk has gassed earlier .. He may very well do it again .. But dont worry about the US troops .. They got masks .. Worry and pray for the innocent ...

We will see a repeat of this, perhaps as early as this week: US to use depleted uranium. i am more worried about US forces utilizing DU in heavily populated cities such as Basra, or Baghdad - particularly when Iraqi hospitals (suffering from predictable powerouts due to the electrical grid knockouts that US will inflict) do not possess the facilities to cope with the increase in cases of leukaemia and cancer. Why are you worried about the gasses which may only kill a few thousand? Why are you not talking about the likes of MOABs and the other 3000+ super bombs that are going to kill masses? Ironic ....
We should be worried about this, and the poor Iraqi people are going to bombarded supposedly more bombs on the first day than than the 42 days of the first Gulf war together. No people in the world deserves such devestating bombardment and TERROR - how many will be slaughtered in what the American's will dimiss as "collateral damage"?

What if its the other way round? They gas the ppl like the Russians did in that theater when chenchens took ppl hostage, to prevent even more damage to the infrastructure (if there is some) and then blame it on Hussain?!

As for Saddam gassing the Iraqi people.. we expect it to happen. Does our persistence with that knowledge make us complicit? Depends on who you ask. No one will be able to officially hold America responsible for it though. Who's gonna toss Bush & Co in jail??
"Saddam gassed the kurds" is as much of a catch phrase as "Saddam must disarm" or "Saddam has WMD's"..
Pentagon reports in 1990 state that the claim is based wholly on the testimony of kurds who crossed over into Turkey. No victims were found and no traces of gas were found on survivors by International Relief Organizations.

I am worried about the bombs also...especially this "mother of all bombs' there has been talk about.
I do sincerely believe that American's will not purposely target civilians. I think the possibility exists that Saddam may and my concern here is for the innocents caught in the quagmire. My point is that if the effect of our invading would result in Saddam intentionally gassing his own people.....resulting in more unescessary deaths...aren't we also guilty? Sinse we are invading, even, though such a horrifying result was never intentioned?
If I could my way, sinse this invasion seems unstopable... Saddam would take the opportunity to go into exile without a weapon ever being used.
A loss of one single innocent live is regretable.
