Hypocrites

Re: Hypocrites

Even if they are hypocrites, why are you so concerned? we should first focus on our own acts. Seriously, take a very very close look at your own life and actions and u will see tons of acts of hypocrisy. This is our world today so our focus should be to eliminate the hyprocrisy that lies within ourselves first.

And I dont agree with andar ke kartoot. Maybe they seem hypocritical to you but they have their reasons for why they do something?...

Re: Hypocrites

I'm not even sure how to answer this. My Urdu just isn't good enough.

Re: Hypocrites

Very wise words Hulahoop Q. If I were to somehow magically get back the last xx years of my life, I would stop the obsession with exposing someone else's hypocrisy. First, they are pretty good at the game. Second, after exposing them, you kind of lose the moral ground - and in the eyes of everyone (including yourself) are no better than the one you just exposed. Third and most important, you lost precious time wasting it on showing people who the other guy is rather than improving yourself.

Nowadays, I am much more at peace focusing on self-improvement rather than fight real (or imaginary) hypocrites.

Re: Hypocrites

their deeds in private...basically they show the world how religious/pious/shareef they are....but deep down inside they're otherwise...and their dealings in matters (not obvious to the public/outsiders) contradicts the image they project.

Re: Hypocrites

Ah ok. Thanks for the explanation. If I understand correctly, here's what I would do:

  1. Not have bad expectations of them.
  2. If I see something they're doing wrong, maybe I'd bring it up with them depending on our relationship.
  3. If someone is in "danger" from them, then try to save them from the problem without disclosing the person's fault(s) to them.
