Are desis as people more hypocrites?
I don’t know but then it comes to integral principles e.g. on religion or general marriage stuff tend to be hypocritical into how they apply the rules on themselves and then on their children.

for example, my uncle said western dr's are useless and that guys from the pind can do a better job.
Then I see him at the hospital a month later. White Dr treating him.

Sometimes I think that Western culture is more open or candid about things......whereas Desis can be so fearful about their reputations (sometimes more so than the rules of religion) that they may hide/cover up things.

I believe that human nature is hypocritical. We're all hypocrites to some extent.....may be deliberate or unintentional....some more so than others. For example, you may advise someone to be patient or not to procrastinate.........but then you end up doing the exact opposite of your own advice....it may not even be deliberate...you may not even be thinking about how you're acting.
Apart from human nature......I think that the other reason would be that if a person is so fearful about their izzat....then they may even try to put up a positive front. That can also account for the difference between words and deeds.

human nature is dynamic, multi-dimensional, not hypocritical. people change, but hypocrisy is something else.
