What is the religious stance on such character traits?
Re: hypocrasy/self righteousness?
they are not considered good. it is islamically recommended that one point out hypocricy and try to prevent it by force, otherwise just verbally.
these threads are religiously :k: IMO
Re: hypocrasy/self righteousness?
If a muslim is doing something that is obviously wrong, we have an obligation and a right to point it out to them. Simple as that. youmay think they're being busybodies, self righteous, hypocrites, "khotais" whatever... if it makes u feel better calllin em names to rationalize your own "flaws" then by all means go ahead :)
Re: hypocrasy/self righteousness?
BUt if by pointing out that flaw you are being a munafik < a hypocrite. Isnt that rather circular/
Re: hypocrasy/self righteousness?
Being stubborn, being rude, is a character flaw...... deliberately going against your religion is not a flaw and like I said before, every Muslim has a right to speak out against it. It's all in how you do it, you can be polite and nice about it and be respectful or be rude and call em dirty names, upto you..
Re: hypocrasy/self righteousness?
Ah I see your reasoning. Thanks for the crystal clarity.
Re: hypocrasy/self righteousness?
