A British businessman jailed for eight years in Saudi Arabia for running an illegal drinking den is back in the UK after being released early. Gary O’Nions, from London, had been sentenced last April to 800 lashes and fined £400,000, both of which were commuted. He had been convicted of murdering another British man, in a series of bombing campaigns in 2001. In Morocco another British man, who had been sentenced for drug related crimes, was also pardoned. A british woman Anna Bartlett also cocaine and hashish smuggler has been pardoned by the UAE royal family!
In Egypt, three citizens of Britain who are Muslims have been held in prison for over a year and suffered regular beatings and torture. Their crime is the possession of “Islamic” leaflets and books, though these books can be bought freely in the shops. Their trial is continuously postponed without reason.
These are contrasting examples of the ways in which the Muslim rulers strive to prove their loyalty to the Western powers.
what message does this send if your white and from the west you can peddle drugs in saudi, qatar, uae you can set up illegal drinking dens and set off bombs but don’t worry the british and western governments will come to the rescue.
