Re: hydroquinone tretinoin and gamma hydrixy skin docs cream
You should discontinue the gamma hydroxy cream. The tretinoin is already a peel, so you are just doubling up on peels with the glycolic acid. And the hydroquinone is a good supplement for tretinoin. I remember tretinoin being around $100 several years ago, but that 1 tube lasted me a year, so it's not too bad. Tretinoin + hydroquinone is a commonly prescribed combination. You can be confident to see results with those 2. Just make sure you are using them as directed and applying sunscreen religiously.

So its hydroquinone in morning and tretinoin at night? Daily. When do u see results?
Also tretinoin in the beginnings meant to bream you out.?
Re: hydroquinone tretinoin and gamma hydrixy skin docs cream
You should go by what is written on your prescription label. If you are confused about how to take it after reading the label, feel free to PM me and I can help translate it for you.
Typically you apply both medicines morning & night. After washing and drying your face, apply a thin layer of hydroquinone (no need to rub it in), then wait 10-15 minutes for it to dry. Then apply the hydroquinone all over your face and make sure it dries before putting anything else on your face. The hydroquinone is a skin bleach. It's meant to fade the acne scars that you may have, but if it's exposed to sunlight it can actually darken your scars. That's why it's so important to get a good sunscreen (SPF 20 or above) and apply it at least 10 minutes before you go out. Even if you are at home, if you have a well-lit home, you should apply sunscreen when taking hydroquinone. So do this every morning and every night, if that's what your prescription label says. Obviously no need for sunscreen after the nighttime application though.
Yes, in the first 2 weeks of tretinoin treatment you may see lots of peeling, some redness, and it will look as if your acne is getting worse. This is actually because the medicine is working. It is peeling outer layers of your skin and the acne that has already formed is surfacing. After 2 weeks it starts to get better.
Re: hydroquinone tretinoin and gamma hydrixy skin docs cream
Personally I think you should just use tretonion if cost is an issue. Oh and also…given how sensitive your skin becomes to the sun due to these products, I would never even consider using these during the day.
I’m surprised you’re still asking when you will see results.
You haven’t seen ANY difference in your skin at all since you started with all these various products last summer (almost 1 YEAR ago)? And I just made one of your previous threads a sticky…in it you wrote last July that you saw improvements after using hydroquinone for a few weeks??
And yes, some people do experience a initial break-out period with tretinoin.

Hydroquinone is cheap. And like I said before nadz, you should really be taking it the way your dr. prescribed.
