Hyderabadi Urdu

Hyderabad was one of the largest princely state of India. Nizam was official head of state. Hyderabadi food is famous for khatta pan… This state is very unique in the Southern part of India.

What are main difference between North Indian (Urdu) and South Indian Urdu(Hyderabdi).

What are other cultural differences and similarities with Pakistan?

Re: Hyderabadi Urdu

A former coworker was Hyderabadi and we became friends...and so I gained some exposure to their style of Urdu with words like nakko..and baalan/baatan..and adding "ich" to words. It was cool, but I like the cadence and flow of North Indian Urdu better.

"beta nashta hoona"

on time my landlords were from haidrabad.
That movie "bobby jasoos" reminded me of them.

Re: Hyderabadi Urdu

Both are different Urdu of Hyderabad is spoken in literary form, hyderabadi is mixture of Marathi, telgu and kannada. and spoken most informally. One is easy on ears like sweet and other is dhoomdhadaka like Baarat Songs :)
