Hey seef buddy i don't know what is so primitive minded about telling your wife that she is irreplaceable. As far as divorcing your blood is concerned yeah you can't divorce them but you can still disown them, I've seen that happen. Replacing a wife is not an easy process in a western world and even islamically it is not an easy process. I think disowning your blood is probably easier than that but thats just my humble opinion.
If you know how to treat your wife then good for you and its really nice that you love your wife and yes i do not know what happens in your household and I did not make any comment about your specific household as far as I remember. It is also very nice that your wife gets so much love from your family and I commend your family for that and I also totally agree with your last few lines that it is not your wife's job to take care of your mother its your job. The only thing I do not agree with is that you think that your wife is easily replaceable.
