Re: husband`s birthday on wedding day question

SALAAM
FIRST , MY BEST WISHES FOR BOTH OF U , ALLAH MAKES U HAPPY FOR ALL LIFE

ARE U ABLE TO TRAVEL TO OTHER COUNTRY ? OR EVEN OTHER TOWN ?
IT WILL BE NICE IF U CAN DO IT AS SURPRISE AT THE SAME NIGHT !
I DONT KNOW ! IT DEPENDS OF UR TRADITIONS, FAMILY …

OR U CAN PREPARE SPECIAL DINNER (+special cake) WITH SPECIAL TABLE FULL OF RED ROSES AND CANDLES , IN A GARDEN IF U HAVE IT AT HOME OR BALCONY OR EVEN BEDROOM
AND WRITE ‘‘I LOVE YOU+his name’’ IN SMALL RED CARDS THAT U CAN MADE AS HEARTS AND PUT THEM EVERYWHERE

Re: husband`s birthday on wedding day question

ha ha! this question has SUCH an obvious answer.... really.... :) whatever you do, iam sure he will be smiling the next day.

Re: husband`s birthday on wedding day question

^ LMAO!!!! agreeeeeeeeeeeeeed!!!!

oh lord my husband wanted that too when we got married. Our wedding was on 8th, walima on 10th and his bday on 12th. He initially wanted walima to be on his bday I said NO. I wanted these two days to be seperate so that I could cherish more days with him. Bday on Walima day would've ruined everything. With going to get ready from coming home exhausted, just didn't want that. I wanted a whole day of me and him together with going out to eat ... celebrating with his family and friends.. We did that. I am glad I changed it.

But to answer your question, I think it will be ideal for you to celebrate his bday the next day. Like book a nice place for dinner and have that whole day of just you and him. Walima day bday won't be fun.

Re: husband`s birthday on wedding day question

^ your days sequence is like mine.. :) my wedding is on 3rd oct, valima is on 7th oct, and my own b'day is on 13th oct :D

Re: husband`s birthday on wedding day question

but girls, I want to gift something to my husband on our wedding day.. something adorable! what should it be? Suggestions please??

Re: husband`s birthday on wedding day question

**Your gifting him yourself ! **

Isn't that Present enough !

My husband's birthday was also on our wedding night. I gave him a Happy Birthday card and a cellphone with MY picture on the wallpaper :p We all know guys love latest gadgets, don't we :D

Re: husband`s birthday on wedding day question

if he is into books then give him that.

ps. i am sure rest of thinge like watch perfume kinda things he will be getting in his jehez anyways.

thank you everyone for your suggestions
@soosoo: it wud be impossible to go to another city... guests and all plus teh walima function next day
i am giving him a DVD player but i am wondering if i should do with the cake and all.. i guess best idea wud be to do something next day to walima.. we wud be relieved after all the functions
@nida1990,stardust09:Puhleez he is not that deperate.. we have been friends since God knows when
this was not planned by anyone of us.. it is a long weekend and probably the best dates both families can do.
one thing is for sure i don`t want to share this occasion with anyone by getting a cake and cutting it infront of everyone....

Re: husband`s birthday on wedding day question

Get a really nice picture of yourself, frame it, put a bow on top and thats his present!

Give him his gift on your wedding night, it will be after 12:00 after all :) You can wish him Happy Birthday and give his gift privately, can probably do the cake thing later.
I actually put my hubby's gift in my overnight suitcase which was sent to my room for the wedding night, you can do that if the DVD player fits in there :D
