But I’m not going in there…
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning…
just keep an eye , I hope he doesnt burn the kitchen down .. these men are totally unpredictable ![]()
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning...
lol, I'm keeping my nose on red alert, so far, so good...
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning...
You will get stuck with the cleanup, might as well go in early and prevent a major disaster.
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning...
^ No, no, Mr Halwa usually cleans up after himself (well, leaves things a bit untidy but at least clean). Major disaster? Doesn't really matter cos if the worst comes to the worst, we go to me mam's to eat!
Lucky you Mrs. Halwa. When my husband cooks (which he loves doing), I end up with a whole load of dishwasher, cleaning the counters, the stove as well as the floor ![]()
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning...
^ Then u must TRAIN him better... ;) (I'm pleased to meet another lady who's husband likes to cook).
But I'm not going in there...
:D...as long as you have a working smoke detector(God forbid you have to use that though)..I guess there is no need to go in there...:D
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning...
^ Well, I couldn't escape for long, he asked me to keep an eye on it while he goes to the mosque for asr. I'm going to switch off the stove now and forget about it ;)
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning...
Mr Halwa seems so domesticated!!! You need to share the secret woman!
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning...
^ Hmm, I think the secret is... I'm not really sure, actually. I guess he is just that kind of person.
Or may be it's bcos I didn't serve him all the time since the beginning of being hitched, otherwise he could have gotten used to it and believed that is the role he should play, take and not give.
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning...
BTW, it turned out to be a nice lamb karahi with salad... and it didn't taste burnt, oddly.
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning…
^ Great job Mr. Halwa .. you daa man .. ![]()
man what do you expect from a person whose last name is nothing but the sweetest culinary treat that eastern culture could offer
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning...
^ TLK - I shall pass on your sentiments. BTW, I named him that.
P.S - I like your signature, it's interesting (but not as good as mine.)
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning...
Send him to my school of cooking!
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning...
^ Trust me, he sure would like to learn from u, I will send him to u. (But he will insist on sampling your cooking first, so get the biryani, nihari and haleem ready!)
Re: Husband is cooking in the kitchen, I smell something burning...
He's welcome!
