can we kiss when we’re fasting? Im not talking a full on snog but a peck on the cheek or lips. A simple goodbye kiss. ![]()
Yes
i would guess NO but i don't have any source. all i know is that jab roza hota hai tou sab cheezon ka hota hai, hands, feet, mouth, tongue etc.
You can go for a "full on snog" in roza as long as you can supress your 'other' urges.
I'll let you find your own references.
Yes.
**Can a husband kiss his wife during the fast? **
Answer In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
Yes, he can do so. Kissing one’s wife during fasting is permissible and it is established by some hadiths. One hadith states that `Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be please with him) came the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and told him that he had kissed his wife in the daytime of Ramadan. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “It is similar to rinsing your mouth” meaning it is permissible just as rinsing one’s mouth is permissible during fasting.
However, based on the rule of ihtyat, or exercising precaution, it is better to avoid kissing during the daytime of Ramadan as it may lead to further actions which nullify the fast, such as sexual intercourse.
Allah Almighty knows best.
I am a little confused. When you say kiss, is it kissing on cheeks or mouth to mouth kiss? Since sliva is exchanged during a mouth to mouth kiss, doesn't that break the fast IF we are talking about french kiss here.

Instead of directing me towards the reply above me, you could've simply answered my question :-s but anyway, regardless of the answer, i am just curious that wouldn't it break your fast? :-x

Does this answer your question?
yaar iski tou samajh aa gayi thee......but like i said, although it is just permissable, i am still just curious :-x but anyway, i've gotton my answer, thanx :)
you are welcome :)
can i ask,
what about brushing the teeth? Are u allowed to use tooth-paste? What if u swallow some of it accidentally? Isn't that breaking the fast?
i think toothpaste is off topic but as far as i know you brush your teeth at the time of sehri and donot do it after you begin fasting.
Ive heard that you should use a toothbrush on its own without
toothpaste.
And yes the fast does break if anything goes down your throat but if you can use toothpaste without swallowing then the fast will not break but it will be makrooh.
