I can clearly recall the time when I picked up a stick in the streets of Pakistan when I was visiting there and poked this goat for no apparent reason over and over again. Till this day it bothers me as to why I did it and sometimes wonder if what I did has been done before by others and how it makes you feel about yourself.
I know this might sound wierd but I actually pray for the well being of that goat. Any one else know what I’m talking about?

No I'd never do such a thing purposely, it's sick...
One incident I do feel bad about was kind of cruel but not torture... On vacation in Pak my granny had three guard dogs, one was fully grown (bully kutta?) and the other were two adorable little alsation puppies, I'd feed them milk so the big one would try and steal some, I'd get angry and shove it away, not hard but still I feel bad about the favouritism..
Another time I had a budgie and it got this infection round its beak so me being the clever bugger that I am put TCP on for it, welll it died striaght away, my intentions were good but i felt down for weeks after...

my brother used to collect butterflies and i could never do that with the idea that i may hurt them , or they might bite me

Well I remember when I was really young (3 or 4, can't remember exactly) and I went to karachi to my nana's house, I stomped on a cat's tail (for no purpose) and it bit me on the calves really bad :(; now I feel that the cat did the right thing by biting me. I always feel sorry whenever I see abused tongueless little creatures, this scenario is very common in Lalukhet's "Hafta Bazaar"; animals also have a right to live.

seriously hurting animals at a young age is a bad sign. apparently its common among the worst of serial killers and other criminals
as a kid i had a friend who couldnt resist kicking cats. everytime one was within kickable distance, he'd boot it. often launching it a few meters in air. horrible. i never managed to instill any compassion into this guys attitude

One day a small bird (sparrow) came into our house,i was trying to get it out with a bat,it got killed,i can never forget that day.I know what you are talking about.

When I was like 4-5 we used to catch lady bugs in our hands. And "Innocently" i would lift the top wing that is red with black dots..and id pull out the actual wing thing...only becuz in my little head, the bugs would fly away n i couldnt play with em anymore..so by taking out the wings..they didnt fly away...
i was small though!! And umm used to catch lightning bugs as well...just to see them glow over n over again...but i am normal alhumdulillah :)

Not me but one of my cousin's killed a hen. :| We went to our dadi's house in Pakistan when I was about 10 years old. She had three murghis. My cousin picked one up from the neck and twisted it. Gone. eek*
Another incident I remember in Pakistan was that our neighbours had 4 little chicks (those cute yellow ones they in sell in pk if anyone knows). anyways, they were leaving for a vacation for a few days and needed someone to take care of the them. My borther volunteered, since it was the winter time the bright guy left them in front of the heater.... and forgot... welll....

How can it be? Moslty there are people who love animals and birds. How they are supposed to do that?

I have a few.
At my cousin's house every evening so many sparrows use to come and sit on this big "peepal" tree, like 100s of them litraly.
One day my stupid cousin took a shot-gun(12 gage) and fire at the tree while the were sitting and chirping.
He fired 5 times killig 25-27 of them then me and my cousin set up little fire and roast those 27 sparrows-- and ate them.
I tell you-- there was absolutly no meat on them just very fergile bones.
I feel bad.
But It was my cousin's fault.
Like afro-sheen I also am normal now.
