there is no excuse for anyone to be outside....superdome is a big enough shelter and it can fit 80,000 if neccessary

Hopefully this thing slows down. If not I think it's probably that hundreds/thousands will die and New Orleans looks to be wiped off the map.

Bhai Jan the 80,000 is the seating capacity to watch a game. I dont think people are going to sit still in their seats for a few months waiting patiently for waters to recede.

I pray to Allah (swt) that he takes the burden of those poor New Orleaners and has that hurricane rush on over to the eastern states (at a more died down stage, ofcourse) …just enough for us to get out of school.

from CNN: New Orleans, braced for a catastrophic direct hit from the powerful Category 4 storm, hunkered nearly 10,000 people in its mammoth Superdome, but Ed Reams of CNN affiliate WDSU reported that the structure has begun leaking as the winds damaged the roof letting daylight and rainwater in the darkened arena.

The Superdome (Sports Stadium/Storm shelter).

They were building a Nuclear Plant but decide to convert it into a stadium (j/k about that).
