Re: Hurray the Judiciary is now independent. Pakistanis will soon get justice from ju
before cj saga started, lawyers of the supreme court bar were throwing chairs at each over a small matter of bar elections. yet these clowns came together in their opposition to musharraf. reason: lawyer movement is akin to a trade union movement which is rallying to protect its vested interests. lawyers are for asking democracy for the same reason student unions demand democracy. in the context of pakistan, democracy means chaos and anarchy - an environment which is very conducive to the operation of mafia-type groups such as trade unions and bar association. lawyers are anti-army because army can keep different groups in line through danda.
pakistanis should ask why is the judicial system rotten to the core if lawyers are such khairkhwa of the awam? exactly what steps have the lawyers and the judges taken to reduce corruption and to provide easy access to justice to the awam?
Re: Hurray the Judiciary is now independent. Pakistanis will soon get justice from ju
Right, so we've acknowledged for so long that the judicial group is all corrupt, lawyers included. And Pakistan's people are supporting the victory of these very people. In hords, too.
Um, Pakistanis just don't make sense to me anymore. Almost wish my parents were born in some other country.

Good point. And just like trade unions, our lawyers (and many judges) are bunch of commies.
One of the major issues with Pak economy is the commie style show-shaw-list (socialist) stranglehold by large state-owned monopolies.
These white elephants aka Steel Mill, PSO and many others are inefficient mess that needs to be cleaned up.
Unfortunately our show-shaw list lawyers and judges are now the biggest hurdle in ending state monopolies. Whenever we try to reduce the burden on taxpaers by selling off these white elephants, some nut job judge gives the stay order.
Who would want to invest in Pak industrial sector, as long as the show-shaw-list judges are running amok with our economy.

In Pakistan everything has price thus the corruption. Is Mushrraf, Shotcut Aziz (remember steel mills?) army, Mps, etc. not corrupt? So, why just accuse one group? In fact, higher judiciary is the least corrupted institution in the country.
