can anyone help me by telling me what I should eat when I have hunger pangs-something which wont make me more fat
Drink more jiuce, i get hunger pains all the time it feels like i'm starving but i just stave it off with small snacks, avoid things like fizzy pop and crisps and opt fot something like a subway sandwich instead.
since i have joined gym, i have been healthy and always have a water bottle with me..i drink between 1.5 litres-2litres in a day...which is quite a lot for me lol
are you following a routine set by your trainer? Low Carb intake can make you starve even if your fat/protein intake is high. after 3 hours of breakfast you can eat fruits or drink whole fruit juice.
Consume good carbs and food that is high in fiber, it fills you better. You can snack on baby carrots, nuts, grapes, seeds(like dried melon seeds) etc.. Juices, specially without any pulp have higher sugar content I guess, so better have a fruit than its juice.
eat lots of healthy food as said in the above posts, it's just that now you're doing those exercises and all in the gym has made yr metabolism rate a little fast. try eating fruits, yoghurt, and low calorie stuff esp cereals etc
Don't drink juice unless it's pure. They're mostly sugar.
Drink milk instead. It's full of casein which is a slow digesting protein and will fuel your body for a longer period of time.
Also eat smaller meals. If you work out more you will be hungrier! That's normal. Your body needs more fuel but you're making it run on fumes by not eating in between.
Three meals a day is not enough. Eat 5-6 smaller meats with plenty of protein.
What kind of breakfast are you eating?
I usually eat 2-3 scrambled eggs with some toast. Eat a big breakfast as your body hasn't eaten in 8 hours.
This is good Tabu!!! Your body is actually working now and burning!
Okay for hunger pains...try keeping the following around your desk at all times:
Low Salt Saltines
Walnuts
Dried fruit
Light yogurt cups in the fridge at work
Granola
Light popcorn
Tea
Small oranges you can peel and eat right at your desk...I think they're called clementines
Make sure you're taking multivitamins now! GNC makes great ones for women.
since you are working out, your body will naturally want more food.. just have to eat healthy things that are good for your body and that you can snack on throughout the day without consequences - i.e. nuts, raisins, fruits, etc
EAT when your body tells you to, hence if your hungry feed yourself but with the correct food.
Drink a glass of skimmed milk when you get to work and have an apple or something, it will satisfy you for a while, then drink green tea and have some crackers untill lunch.
Eat a fulfilling lunch such as tuna salad or chicken with wholemeal roll with lots of fresh salad and a yogurt with some fruit to finish off.
All in all, never let your body starve coz your breaking down muscle and essentials if you do. Eat regular, small, and snack healthy. Drink right - not fruit juices, as they contain way too much sugar, water, skimmed milk, spoon of honey mixed in hot water curbs hunger as does green tea and also cleans your system out.
