If you're going to read the book before watching any film adaptation, it's best to give it some space. Don't do it immediately before because you get caught up in the detailed differences, rather than captivated by the big picture of the narrative.
Anyway, I thought it was great (and I haven't read the books yet, but I'm planning to).
I watched it 2 days back...I felt the end was a bit rushed!!!
Reading previous posts, I understand that it is adapted from a series of books...are there going to be more parts for this movie to follow or all 3 books were squeezed into one movie??

No this movie was based only on the first book. They still have 2 more to go
i enjoyed it in cinemas.....far from reality but it was interesting to watch...everyone acted well specially jennifer....her facial expressions were very good according to the scenes......and the film's cinematography is good so one would enjoy it in cinemas with good sound effects.
I'm probably the only person in my social circle who didn't like the movie. For me, this was... Slumber Games … zzzzzz...
Still don’t get what all the fuss is about in a teens-killing-teens movie with an undeveloped premise and a weak plot (perhaps the books do a better job at this but the movie seemed very lacking in these areas)... and the second half of the movie seemed like it was never going to end.
Overall, I found this flick to be a very sorry excuse for a sci-fi with a sadistic and violent theme, and it totally failed to entertain me.
^ They are VERY different and intended for entirely different audiences, so don't go in expecting something similar. I did read one after the other though and enjoyed both. Unlike GoT, Hunger Games has coherence and resolution, but it is less complex and nuanced.
