Hummer H2

My dad just bought the Hummer H2 lat week. I drove it over the weekend, and its a dream  Its HUGE…looks much better in person, and has the power to match its looks (320HP, 320 Lb torque) and the street cred this thing has opens many a velvet rope:biggrin:  Check it out if you are in the market for an SUV…great value (only $56K off the lot) and sets one apart from a sea of lookalikes. Will be posting pics soon

did u buy the fur coat yet?

The H2 is a piece of ****. The interior is lousy and its poorly made. (No duh. Its a GM product.) Should of spent that extra few thousands for a classic H. I personally would rather go for the real deal Mr. A G-Class.

PA: No need for a Fur coat in Arizona dude

HSK: I like the way it looks, and the interior is OK...not bad for the $$ if ya ask me. I personally think the G Class looks like ****. We took it off roading and it did well. The Classic H 1 was too big for my dad and he wanted the creature comforts of the H2. Thanks for your feedback

You will soon be supplied with fresh iraqi blood i mean oil :D

You use that tax rebate loophole to buy your H2?

Wow! Cool. So when are you driving the Humvee to N. Cal, haan? :)

What street cred are u talking about?.....the only credit it gets here is a generous middle finger....but again in coyote country space occupation is not really an issue. Dont tell me you fell for the GM ad where bunch of yahoos are cruisng for days in psuedo-sahara desert with no sign of civilization...on the whopping 10 miles per gallon gas mileage.

I don't know about other places... but here in Silicon Valley, H2 is a great status symbol. We see so many here. Plus, the interesting thing is that one may expect a heavy-set huge guy driving it, but no. In most cases dairh chatank ki larki chala rahi hogee.

The newspaper ran a story on the amazing sales by H2 in the Bay Area and said that many buyers are women, as they feel very secure in this huge truck. Many Hummer dealers ran out of their stocks in the initial weeks here. Obviously the favorite color is "bright" yellow. One reason is probably that if you have it than flaunt it, and secondly proly due to H2's TV ad.

Like it or hate it. One thing is certain that it has a serious street presence. H1, on the other hand, is out of this world. Ji bharr ke uncomfortable, though great for serious off-roaders. I am not one of them. If I had 100,000 bucks to sink in a vehicle, I'd probably go for an S-Class, anyway. Ah well.... :)

Make that a G-Class for me!

Faisal I don't think I will be driving it to N Cal. Thing needs its own gas station.

kewl deal Ahmar, hope u get to drive it too. Your dad sounds pretty kewl desi uncles otherwise dont get too experimental with the vehciles.

How do u feel about the studebaker by Avanti i think, looks quite a bit like the Hummer.

and H2 is def a more sensible thing that the other beast. My company had rented a few in New Orleans during an expo back in 99 and used it as a mobile promotions unit models giving out drinking water and beads etc with our company logo and url etc on it. I drove one of those things for a bit and found it pretty uncomfortable.

Ha. Avanti! Yes, the studebaker is a carbon copy of the h2. But who gives a *. Its not like Avanti will actually get buyers. They make the ugliest cars in the world. And charge 70kUS for the *.

Reminds me of an Indian based design group that claims to have contributed to the new e-class (when you see their work you'll know why i say claim).

I feel the studebaker is just a stunt from avanti. They dont have the money to fight this thing in court. Let GM take them to court and kill the company once and for all.

Judge for yourself:

I agree that the design is a knock off, but where does the buck stop then :) Chrysler can go after GM for teh whole sport utility gig.

there are tons of look alike cars out there, who sues who for what?

I am no big fan of avanti myself, but do feel GM is kinda over reacting here :)

True, but this time id like Avanti to die for once. Im usually anti-GM. But this time ill be on their side.

About Jeep- DiamlerChrysler took GM to court because of H2's grille. They said it resembled Jeep's. GM won.

Fraudz: my Dad has never been one to follow convention…his favorite SUV is the Lambhorghini LM series, but shyed away due to it being a maintenance nightmare, plus that SUV is one of the ugliest Ive ever laid eyes on. Now he wants to put 20inch cromes on the hummer, I told its a bit late for him to be going through a mid life crisis!

HSK: Amen brother…lets do away with Avanti once and for all.
