I dont wath sa re ga ma pa, but i was reading about the controversy surrounding 3 of teh pak singers in the competition and how rumours were started that they refused to sing indian songs on the shows independance day show! Plus whn they sang a pakistani patriotic show they were forbidden to include pakistan in the song, so they ha dto change the words, which i think is absolutely disgraceful, considerin its meant to be a joint independence day special show :eek:
I actually cried whn i watched the 3 singers satnd thr infront of teh judges and apologize to every1 4 sumthin they hadn;t said, This was all the doing of the show i bet u to get more publicity, saying that thou it was heartening to c the indian public see past all of this and support the singers
puhleez…the public didn’t get past it. they voted them down in the first place for singing those songs. tabhi to the judges were getting mad at them because someone in the public spread a rumor that they refused to sing a patriotic indian songs. it’s all a farce anyways
For the sake of friendship our Paki singers are willing to mention the name of India in a Paki anthem which is almost sacred to us by singing “Dil Dil Pakistan, Jaan Jaan Hindustan…” yet the Indians can’t even tolerate mention of Pakistan in a Pakistani song?
It just goes to show how “tolerant” they are and serious they are about friendship, it seems like their only motivation behind programs like these is Akhand Bharat (Greater India)…
The only reason I can see behind them forbidding the mention of Pakistan is pure hatred and intolerance.
To top it all off some hater spreads a rumour about the Pakis and the Indian viewers were eager to lap it all up unsubstantiated.
Why do Indians always see it as Pakistan vs. India? Why not Pakistan with India? When we Pakis celebrate our independence day we don’t think of it as separation from India, we think of it as freedom from British rule… Both Pak and India are artificial constructs built upon ideological affiliations and not homogenous nation-states as such, so why do Indians see Pak as a break off from India and still seem to be bitter about it? The only thing which broke in half was Punjab and Bengal, the rest of India was never a nation-state anyway, just a British empire.
If we hated India, people in Pak wouldn’t have Indian media for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Who enjoys watching those they percieve as enemies day and night?.. It seems the hate is one sided.
