Humayun Akhtar's name was being highlighted when Jamali was going out, right now there's no talk of it. Shaukat Aziz isn't going anywhere. yes, ppl do speculate things and so talk baout him, in that sense perhaps yes, if anyhting, he could make a nice PM regardless of other things. he is technically sound and qualified, and has also delivered well in his field and current portfolio that he has held for the past few years.

I blame PTV and Radio Pakistan. Not enough thought provoking programmes for Pakistanis to ponder over.

Whats is Humayun Akhtar's calim to fame?
Isn't he the son of some dead pakistani general, who got blown aways with Zia ul Haq?
If so, then what is wring with the other son of 'shaheed' Aijaz ul Haq?

supposedly, Aijaz ul haq stopped him becomming PM when jamali left. cause both of them are sons of generals.
I like his character and personality though met him in person when he wasnt a minister. i met him cause he was actively supporting one of class mate who was going to be blind.
very kind and simple person and educated MS in natural sciences i think.
for his political, i dont know much.
he owns larger shares/licenses in Pepsi Asia and Pakistan.

Humayun Akhtar Khan is a fellow member of the Society of Actuaries and Canadian Institute of Actuaries, this qualification is enough claim to fame and validates him to hold any key planning and implementing position such as what he currently holds. if ever, i'm sure he'd makea good PM too. about the past and the CIA dollars and stuff, is a diff issue. if unqualified thieves can be installed in imp positions and even abandon posts and run into exile why bother over a highly intellectual individual who's father is said to have taken advantage of the CIA affections in the 80s...

i’d think apart from some scholars and doctrate holding rare few, he happens to be the highest qualified and most educated federal minister. keeping in view his field and qualification achieved.

Hary, I really dont oppose him as PM, but apperciate him in PM or any other responsible post in Pakistan.
