That website is wrong. He killed himself 16 months after taking the photo, not 3 months. The quality of his work had been deteriorating over the previous year, an the final straw seems to have been when he misplaced all the film from his last assignment.

I wasn't trying to draw attention to the photographer's actions. The issue is the plight of the child that's reflective of people's suffering even today.
Lajwab! You're right. He should've helped the child.

world is full of hypocrates.idiotic hypocratic ppl will give lot of money in prize to the photographer for his work..but not a single dollar to ppl who r dieing of hunger.yeah photographer has suffered a lot travelling all the way to sudan in this heat to take this pic so he deserve all that prize money:rolleyes:
