Some of the guppies in this forum carry misconception about human race. I have deeply researched this subject in the past and thought of sharing some of the facts. Of course, I hate this topic but now I want to break my own silence and throw some light on it.
Normally the human population on the planet is grouped in three broad categories:
Caucasoid
Negroid
Mongoloid
There is no confusion about Negroid and Mongoloid groups, so I will only discuss the Caucasoid group very briefly. All of the people from Europe, Northern part of Africa, middle east, west Asea and South East Asea belong to Caucasoid group. Each of the above three groups have extremes and numerous subgroups. Caucasoid group ranges from Scandanavians (North Europeans) with pink skin, blond hair, blue eyes and tall stature to Dravidians (South Indians) with dark brown skin and black hair.
Pakistanis are basically Indo-Aryans speaking Indo-European languages. Those pakistanis who think that they have descended from Arabs or middle eastern people must know that Arabs and middle eastern people don’t speak Indo-European languages. They are all caucasoid but belong to a different sub-group with the name Semites. In Europe, people from Finland (Finish), hungarians (Hungary) and people from Basque (A region in Spain) don’t speak Indo-European languages. Rest of Europe speaks the languages which belong to Indo-European language group.
In Indian subcontinent only Dravidians (South Indians) don’t speak Indo-European language while people from middle east, Turkey and North Africa too don’t speak Indo-European languages but they are all Caucasoid.
I would here give a small glimpse of Indo-European language:
Every Indo-European language has a word called Maa. In latin, Mother is same as Matru in Sanskrit and similarly Peter is Pitru and Brother is Bhatru.
Pakistanis belong to Indo-Aryan subgroup and again they have further subdivisions like Punjabi, Pushtoon, Kashmiri and so on. Norht Indians are also part of Indo-Aryan subgroup with subdivisions like Bengali, Gujrati, Marathi and so on. While Arabs are under Semite group which includes Jewish people too. Again Arabs have numerous subdivisions.
All the Caucasoids have same hair cross-section irrespective of its colour and is distinct from mongoloid and negroid people.
Finally I want to tell that when it comes to genetics then out of 30,000 human genes just merely 50 genes decide all the superficial external differences of skin colour, hair shape and facial feature. Under the skin every human being is the same.
So why should we discuss this ugly topic called race.

Why discuss it? Because its a wonder and its a fact of life. Yes, we are all vastly more similar than we are different. I mean, we are even vastly similar (dna-wise) to certain groups of simians. Yet the small differences in DNA make a world of difference in the “end product” yeah? I mean one tiny mistake in the DNA can mean the difference between being a typical human or one with something like Down Syndrome. Or being dark skinned or light, blue-eyed or brown, tall or short, sick or well, smart or learning disabled.
Race shouldnt matter much in a social sense, I think that’s what you have an issue with.
But in a scientific sense, its very important with many mysteries yet to be revealed. Why are black people prone to hypertension and heart attack? Why are south asians prone to blood diseases and diabetes? Etc etc. Cracking these mysteries will be the key to ending diseases like cancer, thalessemia, heart disease, even AIDS.
This information is from various sources. I had read a book from experts group on human anatomy published from London by Bantom book. I have kept this book in my home library in India. Again during my university days in India I had borrowed a book on the same topic from the University library. I have also read many articles on this subject from authentic sources on the web. But I don’t claim myself to be expert on the subject. But the information is from authentic expert source. That’s all I can say.
Since the Aryan invasion theory has been refuted, you can't call Pakistanis Indo-Aryan by race. If you classify their linguistics as Indo-Aryan, then again you are wrong, as not all Pakistanis are Indo-Aryan linguistically, it is only the Punjabi and Sindhi that are Indo-Aryan speakers. Pashto is an Iranic language, and whilst Koshur(kashmiri) is not even spoken in Pakistan, it is a Dardic language which linguistic scholars classify as seperatly from both Iranic and Indo-Aryan languages (although opinions between scholars vary). But as you said they are all Indo-European.
Also I really dont get why Kashmiris are labelled as a 'Pakistani' ethnic group, they represent 0.5% of Pakistans population, there are approx 400,000 Koshur speakers in Pakistan compared to 160 million population of Pakistan.
And Kashmir per se isn't even in Pakistan, Azad Kashmir is pretty much Jammu and Northern Areas are Gilgit Agency and a bit of Baltistan. Kashmir valley is in India...

Are Bhai.. Pashto is an Indo-European language too. In fact Persian language is one of the major group of Indo-European language. While driving with an Iranian colleague and listening to Iranian songs and music on a return trip from Stratford in his car, I discussed with him about Iranian language vis a vis Sanskrit and we both were amazed how many similarities exist between North Indian and Persian language.
