American's are as 'civilized' or as we can see uncivilized as any other people. Now the world is witnessing how the only thing that holds American society together is 'wealth' and everything stemming from that, and you take that away and society breaks rapidly down into anarchy and mayhem.

I wouldn't call it "wealth" exactly....these people have nothing except the clothes on their backs. No food, water, shelter. They lost everything and have no way to survive. Some of the looters are going for tvs and jewelry....others are looting for food and water. They are in a desperate situation without hope and without much help at the moment. When you lose the most basic necessities of life, sure its human nature for law and order to go down the drain I think. Its very sad and prayers to all the people down there.

I cannot tell anything about others but can simply say...
A Muslim in such condition thinks twice before going wrong, that "I have to appear in front of Allah" and refrains from doing such animal likes actions.
And wana share with you people, I was really happy when I saw a young Muslim wearing a T-Shirt with words => "Proud to be Muslim"

Theres even been reports of people being beaten, kidnapped and raped. Thats far from human nature. Looks like this is bringing out the worst in people. Its sick to the bone humans can do this to each other under such circumstances.

^GS being such a PC place, no one is coming out and saying the obvious. It's the blacks who are doing most of the looting. 30% of NO lives below the poverty line. NO is/was the murder capital of the world. Most of the poor black folks live on govt. handouts.
This doesn't, in any way, represent the mainstream in America.

The majority of the refugees are indeed black...the poorer people of the area. The only difference between you and them is the ability (or lack of ability) to pay to get out in time, the support of family and/or friends who could or would take you in. If you cant afford to get out and you find yourself stuck there, then you have to deal with the cards you're dealt. If there is no food and water to feed your family, if your very survival is at stake, law and order is going to quickly break down....Maslow's heirarchy of needs you know? Count your blessings dope.
