Human life on other planets?

Do people believe that there is a planet similar to that of earth and do you think that there ae human like beings on that planets?

Re: Human life on other planets?

Not only that there are humans, they are just like us, in fact they love to log on a website very similar to ours and ask the same question. Do people believe that there is a planet similar to that of ours and do you think that there are human like beings on that planets?

Re: Human life on other planets?

who knows there must be more than one galaxys :D

Re: Human life on other planets?

Very funny superman

Re: Human life on other planets?

yup and that planet is known as Gupshup forums :chai:

Re: Human life on other planets?

You should stop watching Stargate SG1 etc. Existence of life (intelligent or otherwise) in other planets in universe -- yes it is possible. Life-form exactly like human? ---- I really don't think so.

Re: Human life on other planets?

although it is quite possible that intelligent life exists in other shapes and forms but if we look at 'survival of the fittest' theory (which should be universal) then an intelligent life should look very similar to human beings. Bi-pedal, stereo vision (2 eyes), nose and eyes above mouth (so we can see and smell what we are eating) and all that.

Re: Human life on other planets?

TLK, only if we take planet earth as the standard template. The changes in gravity, terrain AND would change the tree of life significantly. The fittest in OTHER environment may not turn out to be as the fittest in planet earth's case.

Re: Human life on other planets?

Good point Xeno but what if life can only exist in a planet that sits in that Goldilocks zone where gravity, temp, size, dist from sun, age of the planet - is very close to what our earth has. What if this is the only enviornmenet where intelligent life can exist/survive

Re: Human life on other planets?

I think it’s rather arrogant of us to believe that life needs THESE conditions. On this very planet, life can be found in deepest dark and freezing cold depths (not to mention water pressure). Life can be found in active volcanoes. Heck – a bacteria (can’t recall it’s name and type) can live in most radioactive environment imagineable (nuclear reactors) and feeds on stainless steel! found the research paper.

Re: Human life on other planets?

I am not talking about just Life, I am talking about Intelligent life. Intelligent life is a very unique phenomenon and the conditions needs to be very specific for it to evolve.

Re: Human life on other planets?

jaadoo nagrii emN aise log mileNge...good luck :)

Re: Human life on other planets?

I bet theres no way there could be anything like humans on another planet…

Oh wait i’ve just made contact with an extra-terestrial i’ll ask him what he looks like… :teggy:

Re: Human life on other planets?

Ok you got a point there. But this criteria for intelligent life stemmed from our observations of OUR surroundings. From our previous observations we also concluded that life may not exist in toxic environment, but further observation and study proved it wrong. Same logic can also be applied for our model for intelligent life. What if life have evolved somewhere under different environment and conditions. It is quite possible that some branch of tree of life there also produced a different form of intelligent life. We can't say that with absolute certainty.

Re: Human life on other planets?

Yes. Planet Mirpur.

As for your question, I believe there could be life in the form of microscopic organisms on other planets but I can't say much on human-like beings as there is no evidence of their existence so far. No authentic, undeniable proof, that is. You also have to look at the fact that planet earth offers the optimum conditions for life support. Other planets are too hot, too cold, too dry etc. That is not to say that other planets cannot support some life form. They can. Whether they do or not remains a mystery.

Re: Human life on other planets?

:konfused:

I am sure you wanted to say ‘life’ and not ‘intelligent life’

Re: Human life on other planets?

 corrected

Re: Human life on other planets?

We don't know. Only way to know for sure is if we find evidence of intelligent life outside, or if alien intelligent beings find us before we find them. Till then, it is pure speculation. (So says the master of the obvious!)
