Do you think that we could’ve been more efficient animals if our anatomy was any different? Like if our eyes were on either side of our head (like horses) to give us a wider peripheral vision, or had a tail so it would be easy for us to scratch our back?
I feel that if our big toe was protruding from the inner side of our foot (more like monkeys), our kids would have a better balance and would be more efficient from very little age. BTW, in my case, I sometimes feel that I had a toe there and its missing. I dare you guys to do a mind experiment and try to wiggle that imaginary toe. You would almost feel like you have sensory system in place to control that toe, if you had it.

I don't. My belief tells me that we are created in the best of the molds and anything other than such would have been best only and only if the Creator had thought so.
Just as an example, I came to know couple of months back an interesting fact from one of my doctor friends. Try driving a car with your one eye closed or covered and your brain will have extremely hard time in calculting the actual distance an object is from you. You will be amazed at the divine symmetry just our vision has been given. :)

But our heights are changing, at least many believe in that. Remember that 50 feet tall Hazrat Adam thread? Were we perfect then or are we perfect now?

But height is not a good guague of finding difference in anatomy. Hazrat Adam had the same anotomy as a human infant.

we are no where near perfect. esp at the molecular level.
speak for yourself missy

I was no longer talking about the anatomy. You said that we are created in the best of the molds, and you may not include height in anatomy, but in molds, it sure can be part of.

Ok. so may be mold was not the correct translation of "Taqweem". I think the nearest translation could include "proportions" as part of its meaning. So Ahsan-e-Taqweem means Best of mold, proportions etc.
A human child is in best of the mold, proportions etc. just as a human grown up is or just as Hazrat Adam was.
Re: Human being is such a perfect creation, but ….
Humans are not a creation.
Yes many features would make us better.
Evolution will continue to change us slowly and surely. But I think it will be slower for our species because we are not that desperate to survive since we've done well.
