Hum Larkiyan

Re: Hum Larkiyan

The poem is nice and it reflects the burden some or most girls carry on their shoulders but i don't want to validate that it is acceptable by agreeing with the content. Girls are not meant to be a balli ka bakra or bakri. Girls should be taught to want and expect respect and compassion from those around them. I have two girls and I want them to make their own path, carve out their own share of happiness for themselves instead of seeking them for others and sacrificing their own. Those who expect their girls to become their shield to protect them from the overly judgmental society are cowards. Protect your girls from those who raise their fingers at them, dont hide behind their duppate ka pallu.

Uff itna zulm.... rula diya subha subha!

Re: Hum Larkiyan

this is exactly the kinda oppressive brain washing ideology that we need not teach our next generation. How about you stop saying grls vs. boys and consider both genders human beings....try that for a change

Re: Hum Larkiyan

This piece is probably written by those multitudes of doormats which a section of society tries promote. The generalizations are neither correct nor accurate.

Re: Hum Larkiyan

First things first..I was never good with urdu lughat p.s ghazals and shairi.Even if the text is in simplistic terms i get a headache..Sorry :(

I want our girls to be strong, independent, though provoking, wise but the problem is with the state and the stoneage culture and norms

For e.g Women should be free to drive scooters or two wheelers like malasians, indonesians do but ofc in Pakistan that would be a taboo lol.Problem is with pakistan.

And i believe women are better than men. They have so much responsibilities that i cannot comprehend..
