sab ko dil k daag dekha’eY ik tujhi ko dekha na sakaY
tera daaman door nahi tha hath maiN phaila na sakaY

ru aye dost kahaN lay aaya chahra ye khurshed-e-misaal
seenaY maiN abaad kareN gain ankhooN main tu sama na sakaY

na tuj se kuch hum ko nisbaat na tuj ko koi kaam hum se
hum ko ye maloom tha lakiN hum dil ko samja na sakaY

ab tuj ko kis mu se kah dain saat samandaR paaR na ja
beech ki ik dewaar be hum tu phaand na paa’ey dha na sakaY

mun papi ki ujri kheti sookhi ki sookhi he rehi
umday badal garjay baadal boondaiN do barsa na sakaY
