Kaanton se zakhmi hotey they
Jo phool jholee main aa girta
Usey chooney se dar jaatey they

Hum kaisey pagal hotey they

Ke dhundley aainon main apna
Hum aks sa dhoonda kartey they
Aur kirchiaan chitkhey aainon ki
Muthi main daba kar rakhtey they

Hum kaisey pagal hotey they

Jub sadak pe chalna hota thaa
Hum kashti ley ker chaltey they
Aur beech bhanwar jaaney ke liyey
Hum paidal nikla kartey the

Hum kaisey pagal hotey they

Jub bearish barsa kartee thee
Hum chatri main chup jaatey they
Aur jalti dhoop main nangey sar
Hum chat per uchla kertey they

Jub paas bauhat woh hota tha
Hum us ko daikh na saktey they
Jub door chala jata tha woh
Hum aahat us ki suntey they

Jub saari duniya soti thee
Hum chaand se khela kartey they
Jub saari duniya jaag uthtee
Tu thak kar hum so jaatey they

Hum kitney pagal hotey they
Hum aaj bhi waisey pagal hain
Per phir bhi aksar sochtey hain
