We all know that a lot of desis are obsessed with light skin. People who are “blessed” with it are usually not bothered. I was browsing through some pics on a site when I came across something:

She’s a beautiful woman, love the makeup but unfortunately the neck/face difference looks odd.
Re: Huge difference
lol my hands are like browwwwwn and the colour is so different to my legs and face. it does look odd, even to me.
Re: Huge difference
Actually it might be a desi thing coz my face, arms, legs and feet are fair. Thanks to the eczema my neck's not the same colour but i'm talking about people who genuinely aren't fair and try to whiten their faces up.
Re: Huge difference
It's fine you can discuss the other aspects too =)
Re: Huge difference
her makeup is ALWAYS OTT.
she would look so much better with normal makeup.
Re: Huge difference
I don't think its meant to be lighter, but rather the makeup is very thick... but her skin from neck down isn't bad at all!
Re: Huge difference
whats wrong to become a gori? doesnt all the aunty wants a "goreee larki" for their "chaaand ka tukra( son lol)" ....im so brown and i wna become lighter! if i dont, no aunty would like me for their son...OH ALLAH HELP MEEEE WITH THIS
Re: Huge difference
^Just because the aunties want it doesn't make it right.. they also tend to want DILs who will be complete doormats and only 'serve and obey' their precious sons, should we all be like that too?

Agree.. I think it's more that she's put it on with a trowel..
Have seen a hell of a lot worse in terms of desis trying to look paler..
Desi magazines using white models pretending to be light-skinned Indian/Pakistani brides doesn't help either, why not use light and darker toned girls instead of dark-haired english girls or instead of airbrushing the desi girls to look 10 shades lighter then they are in real-life..
